I liked the way the banner looked but did not like the way I had to put the trim on the edge. I wanted to stich it down but had issues. so I removed it and added the ric-rac to the top as well as the underside. I will add a backing to hide all the sitch work on the back and then I will just need to add the letter that goes on the front.

The ricrac is fine, I think it was the better choice until you get that surger. But I concur, I liked the color of the chenille trim.
